How to migrate from 4.3.0 to 5.0.0

IMPORTANT: Before starting this process, we recommend you to take a backup of your files. If you done any customizations, It will be lost.

SERVER REQUIREMENT: Make sure your PHP version is 8.1.0 or above.

Make sure that you've removed putenv from your disabled_functions line in your php.ini file.

Step 1: Login your cPanel and open file manager navigate to public_html, Delete all folders and files except public folder and .env file. Upload and unzip migrate-from-4.3.0-to-5.0.0.zip file on your public_html folder.

Note: Here public_html is refered as installation folder.

Change the APP_VERSION in .env file as following line.

APP_VERSION=5.0.0

Step 2: Open phpMyAdmin from your cPanel and select your database on left side,

Drag and drop migrate-sql-4.3.0-to-5.0.0.sql file.

Step 3: Now, almost done. We need to add some new assets in our application.

Upload and extract css.zip file on public/backend folder.

Upload and extract payment-method.zip file on public/backend/img folder.

Upload piracy.png file on public/backend/img folder.

Upload and extract frontend.zip file on public/ folder.

Upload and extract js.zip file on public/ folder.

Upload and replace preloader.gif file on public/ folder.

Upload and replace profile.png file on public/ folder.

Step 4: Removing cache files. (Optional)

Remove all files from, storage/framework/cache/

Remove all files from, storage/framework/sessions/

Remove all files from, storage/framework/views/

Remove all files from, bootstrap/cache/

Congratulations! Your migration process completed.
